HOMICIDAL MANIA The Fifteen Most Horrific Murder Cases Ever to Shock America.    - (Unpublished) - If one needs a reason to add still another to the blood-curdling crime books flooding today's market, I suppose my only defense is that I find it challenging to pick out fifteen of my favorite stories from the several hundred short stories I have written for various true detective magazines over a span of 35 years. I might as well confess that I am obsessed with people who have twisted desires and rob, rape, mutilate and kill people without any human feelings for their hapless victims - especially if the case has strong sado-sexual overtones. Please, I don't admire them, but I wonder what makes them tick. Many of the authentic cases presented here have appeared in Murder Most Foul Quartely, Master Detective, or True Crime Monthly, products of Magazine Design, of England. Others were published in Startling Detective, True Detective, Headquarters Detective, Detective Files, and Detective Cases, products of Globe Communications of Canada.
