Questions follow slayings -- (Boston.com) A friend said Mark Cote had talked despairingly about his urge to kill his former wife's boyfriend. Cote's girlfriend told her mother that he had hit her. People who knew him said he was volatile and depressed, but they also said that they saw no signs of danger. They never saw him as a potential killer. Then, Saturday morning, Cote shot three people in three different locations in less than 20 minutes. He finally turned a gun on himself.
