But Christa Worthington, a 46-year-old fashion writer with an international reputation, was dead: stabbed early this month by an intruder so bent on entry that a deadbolt lock was ripped from Worthington's door.
    Unsolved murder puts town on edge - (Cape Cod Times) The notion of a killer on the loose is unsettling to residents of this Outer Cape town with a scant year-round population of 1,800 people. The possibility that the culprit is a local makes it even more chilling.
