    Disappearances go back 4 decades -- (Sign On San Diego) Danielle van Dam isn't the first girl in the county to vanish under strange or tragic circumstances. In eight cases dating to 1960, five girls were found dead and two turned up alive. One was never found.
    Search for Danielle continues into third week -- (North County Times) The director of the Danielle Recovery Center estimated Monday that they had at least 2,575 volunteers over the weekend - based on Damon van Dam's report of thousands in the deserts who offered to help and 575 locally, said Diane Halfman.
