    Parents of Missing Children Need the News Media -- (Salt Lake Tribune) There's no question that publicity has helped stimulate the search for Elizabeth, as well as the investigation into her June 5 disappearance. Police are sifting through more than 10,000 tips in the case.
    Blood Tests in Smart Case -- (Fox) Six to eight male neighbors and friends who were in the home of Elizabeth Smart within hours of her kidnapping have been asked by the Salt Lake City Police Department to provide blood samples and fingerprints by Monday.

    Man who kidnapped girl, killed himself as police closed in may have abducted others, police say -- (Boston.com) Richard Evonitz, 38, pretended to be a magazine salesman when he approached a girl June 24 in Lexington and forced her into the trunk of his car at gunpoint, police said. She escaped from his apartment Tuesday while Evonitz slept, investigators said. A search of his apartment uncovered newspaper clippings and handwritten notes about the deaths of sisters Kristin Lisk, 15, and Kati Lisk, 12, of Spotsylvania County, Va. They were killed in May 1997.
