Authorities said 71-year-old James D. Cockman died after his face was wrapped in duct tape when he disappeared on Sept. 14 while meeting a potential buyer of his sport utility vehicle. Holloway told FBI agents in Tennessee that she and Edens intended to steal Cockman's SUV. In a federal court appearance, a judge was told that other people could have been the alleged suspects' victim. FBI agent Robert Scott said, "Prior to making contact with Cockman, there was contact made to other individuals selling SUVs."
